GAPRO
GAPRO is the inspiration of Prossy Nannono, a dedicated social worker living and working in Uganda.
"As a social worker in Uganda, I worked closely with vulnerable girls and young mothers. I saw them struggling after dropping out of school, others not even able to attend School. Without income, support and hope for a better future, I realized that what they needed most was not just sympathy but practical skills they could use immediately to earn a living. That is when I felt called to start Gapro Foundation.
With a vision to equip girls and young mothers with hands-on skills so they could become financially independent and regain their confidence I began."
Today, GAPRO transforms the lives of vulnerable girls and young mothers through hands on skill training. GAPRO is currently focussed on equipping women with practical, income generating skills in tailoring, hair dressing and farming through mentorship, training and community support. Women are helped to gain financial independence, restore dignity and independence, and create brighter futures for themselves, their children and people around them.
